Tarnished

Sometimes products seem like they have been created for a particular time of year or event. Generally they haven't but sometimes they just seem to fit. This loose mineral eyeshadow is one such product, perfect for those Christmas and New Years evenings out...

Earthnicity Minerals Eyeshadow in Tarnished

I originally scheduled this post for early January however I thought it was such a perfect product for the holiday season that I have re-scheduled and re-phrased the content a little so I could share it with you sooner and so you have time to get hold of some before the last Christmas post - if you wish.

One of a selection of eyeshadows that I was recently sent as part of a PR sample pack, Tarnished has been my go-to eyeshadow of the past few weeks and one I plan to use repeatedly over that party season (not that I have that many in the diary at the moment but here's hoping!).

Completely on trend for this winter, Tarnished is described on the Earthnicity website as a shimmery, rich, deep brown however I personally think it as more of a deep metallic taupe, punctuated with tiny gold sparkles. For a flattering soft-sheen finish, Tarnished looks beautiful applied directly onto the lid without any undercoat but add a swipe of cream shadow or eye primer before application and you get full on, high impact, metallic, smokey colour (apologies for the adjective overload there) that would look great on any skintone.

The shadow has been incredibly finely milled and as such, the texture is light, smooth and silky and it glides easily over the skin without drag or irritiation. Long lasting, Tarnished wears incredibly well without creasing, dropping or fading and will definitely see you through into the New Year.

I haven't as yet used Tarnished on a job, however having worn it myself on a number of occasions in recent weeks and I can assure you it makes for a beautiful twist on a smokey eye and I will certainly be giving more of the range a go in the near future.

Priced at just £5.99, Tarnished is a real bargain and is available from Earthnicity Minerals
